We are located along Prairie Creek in central Iowa.

Our founders, Mike and Cindy, proudly owned and bred Brittany Spaniels over a decade ago.
After resigning to owning smaller dogs, they purchased Mylie, a purebred Papillon.
Believing that Mylie needed a sibling, Billie Rae was welcomed to the family! Billie was a Pom Poo Pap (Pomeranian, Poodle, Papillon).
She was incredibly intelligent, a total goofball, fierce and loving! Billie spent most nights performing mid-air backflips then lounging upside down. Unfortunately, Billie passed away unexpectedly in 2024.
Billie is the inspiration for Prairie Creek Paperanians.
Once you own and love a Billie Rae, your heart will never be the same. 

A Paperanian is a hybrid-mix of a Papillon and a Pomeranian. Inheriting traits from both breeds, you can expect a companion dog that is intelligent, affectionate and entertaining. Our Paperanians are family dogs.
